Thanks SO MUCH for all your support, and we'll see you in-game!
...you do realize this is a problem that could have been solved by having a single intern spend a few minutes proofreading important pages?
Yes, however, just proof reading that page isn't enough, there would definitely need some code changes. Furthermore even if there wasn't they should be using the intern to help out with more dire and meaningful issues.
The fact that you guys ***** about this is just showing that you have to dig really far and wide to create a "Look at what stupidity they did lulzlulzlulzlulz" thread.

To change one word in some HTML? Hell it wouldn't take 15 seconds to fix that and reupload the page.
These are the people you are paying $100's per year to. I understand you are a fan(boy) of the game, but hold people accountable for **** product or its all you'll ever get lol.
Obviously both games share tech, which is a smart buisness move.
Tbh, i was expecting this thread to deliver something good (ie The copywright texture found on a rock on a planet was pretty good)

You know exactly how that page is generated?
You are assuming Static, but since both STO and CO share tech, my money is on dynamic.
Yes, but if the code change requires anything other than changing a text string or pointing a reference to a different text string - operations that take about a man-minute of work - then either they've made things way more complicated than necessary or they didn't properly design their billing system to accomodate multiple games. The development of multiple games using a shared framework was one of the founding goals of their company, so it shouldn't be option 2...
Fair enough point, but as I said, this is the least of the issues that Cryptic studios has to fix.

Hey, nimrod, where did I ever say I was a fanboy of this game? Where did you even get that notion? Oh what, because someone is defending a company from a bunch of ****ed off forum-*****s like yourself, it automatically means they are fan boy? What's next - you saying I actually WORK for Cryptic.
Oh and hey, this isn't 2007 brah, most of those people don't earn $100s per year. Enviro Artists generally earn from 32-50k (and that was in 2007), and now lower, since there are more layoffs in the game industry than ever before. I mean, EA had to let go of what nearly 4000 employees several months ago? No way in hell are they earning 100s. Mayne the Director, or the Producer, but not the vast majority of the development team.
I expected someone to point out the unsecure forums.
Bet a lot of people out there used the same password for the game as they did their forum account.
I know passwords aren't the responsibility of the game company, but a modicum of protection would be nice.
Ripe for the pickings, and all that.

Tell me what $14.99 X 12 is. I didn't say $100k, nor did I say anything about the dev's salary. I said YOU are paying $100's per year to play. The fanboy statement is from watching you go on every thread that has a criticism of the game and white knight for Cryptic. Like I said, its awesome that you like the company, but you have to call out the **** and let them know that it isn't acceptable or it will never get fixed.
Not really a big deal. Tbh, i was expecting this thread to deliver something good (ie The copywright texture found on a rock on a planet was pretty good)
The only other thing I can think of atm is in the booklet where it says only escorts get to use cannons.
