tac is the weakest of the 3 IMO.

I'm also a tac officer and I'm doing just fine in tier 4 thanks. I can kill galaxies in about 7-8 seconds solo if they don't put up reverse shield polarity. As for when I start taking hits, I have the luxury of usually running pvp with competent team members who fully expect me to get singled out in my raptor and hence extend shields/science team/hazard emitters the crap out of me and I become nigh invincible.

Tac officers are not gimp, having tank friends goes along way to making sure you get to use your blastiness though.

Tac officers are for burst DPS, which means 3 Hvy cannons, and a Quantum torp launcher, you activate Attack Pattern Alpha, Fire on my Mark, Rapid Fire and HYT 3, start firing and whatever you're shooting at will then be dead.

exept t4 bop have 3 forward slots and raptor is just terrible
