normally about 30-40 fps, when I open skills window it drops to 5-10 fps. An open map-window lets fps drop to about 15, and exchange is similar to skills window.
This are fps from sector space, if I open the windows in systems the drop in fps is not as significant. Then framerate of skills is about 5 fps higher. Also textboxes from communications decreases the framerate from about 40 to 20-25
Noticed this for the first time last night while using the Exchange. Would drop from 60fps to under 10fps whenever my cursor was within the bounds of the exchange item list or the scrollbar for the list.
Workaround for the painfully slow scrolling is to click and hold the scroll bar widget, move the mouse cursor outside of the window area, then move the widget normally. So long as your cursor remains outside of the window, the framerate stays high.
I hate to burst the bubble here, but I think they've either not actually fixed it, or they've inadvertantly broke some other stuff.
Since the patch, now the FPS stays as it was on average before(from my previous post). However, now turning off the UI /lowers/ the FPS now. Down to 50 FPS even.
The fact that it's so even means 1 of two things: either they accidentally added some code that is now "fixing" the skills problem with the UI, but is making the UI take up more cycles when not in use. Or they're trying to hide the FPS issue by artificially limiting the FPS when the UI is off.
As this isn't the full scope of this thread, I will make another, unless the OP doesn't mind people continuing discussion on it here.
