probably because since the patch they have cut the klingon pvp skill point reward by over 50% and quite a bit of the tier 1 pvp rewards ( mk2 gear) is labled lt cmdr and unusable by tier 1 and the one bridge officer vendor in the pvp place is selling gear not the officers../facepalm
Could be many non hardcore pvp'rs have just given up for now due to it and just went back to federation pve to find at least some enjoyment for thier money.
Ahhhh, yeah I'd wondered what was going on. Didn't see the nerf in the patch notes. But I"ll tell you what I did last night (I'm Klingon).... I did some PvE... then got anxious to kick some Feds around so I did a PvP match......when I got out after we won I remember taking note of how little XP I got and joined another PvP sure that I'd been mistaken. After that PvP match confirmed I wasn't crazy....... I pve'd the rest of the night. So me personally.... prior to the patch I was doing 1/4 PvE 3/4 PvP.....and I'd say after the patch I'm shifting to a 3/4 PvE 1/4 PvP for gaining XP.
At T5 I see 50+ Feds in queue - 3-5 Klingons. I have started playing fed again as did most of the Klingons that reached General (except logging in to do the daily) - why play Klingon when there is no point in developing your character beyond reaching max level? You already get most of the loot you need just by PvPing between 40-45, so why bother with continuing to PvP?
When I did get into PvP games it was with roughly the same 4-8 Klingons for over 5 hours, against various groups of feds.
Beyond the daily quest, there's not really any point logging on your klingon character. While it is fun, that alone may not be enough. Klingon T5 is less an MMO and more like Quake3 at the moment, in the sense that it's fun to play, but you don't really get anywhere with your character except into the next deathmatch. There's no story, there's no character progress, there's no crafting, there are no goals.
