in that example, my Vulcan love sl... um.. Boff is "hailing" me in the pop up screen. as you can see her face looks quite normal, fairly attractive to some maybe. next to the hailing window however, is my actual Boff as seen under the lighting conditions present in the mission. bit of a difference isnt it?
thing is, the way the Boff looks is the way most character models look anywhere but in starbases or my bridge. i'm not sure whats happening with the lighting dynamics to cause this, as i know its just where shade is falling on the face etc thats causing the difference in look, and if its my card or something in-game.
my card is an ATI 4850HD (i'll post more specific details once i can get to my home PC without getting fired for leaving work early) and i've not seen or found any topics regarding issues directly related to this sort of thing so i thought i'd ask.
i'll also post my lighting settings from the in-game menu once i get home as well, in case its something to do with that.
