If you head straight for a target and press space, all phasers will come from the same bank. When the cooldown is over, and you press space again, the emitting phaser bank has changed, but all phasers still come from the same bank.

If you manually fire, first phaser 1 then phaser 2, they will come from different banks. Now, this is just a small annoyance, but wouldn't it be nice if the phasers automatically (if Line of Sight allows it) use an unused phaser bank (if there are any), so that it looks like the beams come from different positions on the ship. It would look much better IMHO.

Yeah... I have notice the same with turrets, especially on the large cruisers this will look very weird, I tried a Star Cruiser with 8 turrets just for fun (technically works with 3 EPS Flow Regulators), and all forward turrets and all backward turrets each share one hard point... so you full broadside is actually shooting from two points only...

One of the good things with EVE is that each weapon attached to a ship has two physical hardpoints on the model. A broadside from a battleship really looks like a broadside.

It has its down too though... A front side from a bship in EVE looks just like firing from any other point because all weapons are 360. Just saying though

Yeah, it would be nice to see more hardpoints for weapons.
