1. Fix sector space, so that I can attack anyone I like, and ability to run away from an engagement.
2. Make survival necessary, and stop with pve spamming (e.g. large groups colliding with other large groups, and effectively joining the fight against you, like 10 vs 1)
3. Another 'BAD' faction, where you can go free and do what you like (e.g. attack others, steal from inventory, have bounty on my head, be able to run and hide, etc.)
4. Delta quadrant with at least Kazon and Borg
5. I want to be able to fight +5 ships longer, and board them (when shields are down) with my officers and do some damage to it internally (e.g. disable warp core), then continue fight in space.
6. I wan't to be able to make my living of trading. I want transport vessels, and be able to buy/sell commodities around for energy credits.
7. I wan't to be able to use replicator as it was intended to. Implement item schematics, then I want to be able to replicate anything I already have schematics for, with use of replicator and matter. Matter should be harvested in space like anomalies.

The boarding party may be difficult but would work well with instanced solo space but other wise quoted for truth. Especially 7.

been stuck in ngc1218 for over an hour and a half. no help. no gms. i relogged. stuck in red alert with out being able to cancel it. dropped mission. still cant warp out. still no gms.

either make the unstuck command work WITHOUT GM APPROVAL because they are never online.
or make them do thier job.

this is unacceptable.

first of course, server issues. I don't like getting booted 5 times an hour at peak playing time.
short term:
1. make the map more user friendly, allow a player to zoom in on a sector that he is not in. allow a player to do a system search of all sectors not just the one he is in.
2. add civilian clothes to the costume options
3. give the option to holster weapons
4. allow all weapons to auto fire in space and on the ground. The way it is now is really annoying.
5. make it so that when you reinforce a shield, it continues to reinforce itself until you tell it to stop.
6. allow me to close the invite box while on my bridge. please
7. allow full impulse in combat at great expense to shields and weapons.
mid term:
1. add a role planner for away team members. for any of you who have played dragon age origins, you know what I'm talking about. it basically lets you program the AI for your team members. for instance you can tell the science bridge officer to act as a healer and to prioritize which characters he heals and what their health has to drop to before he heals them. it also tells the bridge officers who to assist, and how to use their special attacks.
2. This may just be a pet peeve of mine, but I really dislike the whole chat interface with name@name, it's a cryptic thing and it just irks me but other players might be fine with it.
3. integrated voice chat. it's MMORPG standard now, I'm not sure why a new game doesn't have it.

long term:
1. fully explorable player ships. This is absolutely vital.
2. full 3-d flight. roll, pitch yaw, the ability to move left and right along the y axis without yawing, and the ability to ascend and descend on the z axis without pitching.
3. allow players to fill bridge officer slots on your ship. i.e. a science officer player could sit at the science console on your ship and execute his science officer abilities. same with tactical and engineering. tactical would fire weapons and use tactical abilities. Engineer would route power, reinforce shields, and so on. The captain would pilot the ship, and give commads to the bridge crew through integrated voice chat (hint).

Short Term:

- REMOVE THE SKILL CAP OR AT THE VERY LEAST RAISE IT !

- Offer ALL types of weapons from exploration stores and from the 'epic' store

- Allow 'epic' items to be given and equiped by bridge officers

- Add sort function to Exchange

- Increase stack size for food, batteries, consumables, power cells, samples

- Increase amount of items allowed to be posted on exchange

- Show the GENDER of Bridge officers on the Exchange

Mid Term:

- Fix memory alpha upgrade system with clear indicators of progress. Add the rest of the stores and increase the options available from them.

- Increase difficulty of the game at a higher incline approaching Admiral.

- Increase the Borg shield power / resistances for ground combat

- Increase Borg shield power / resistances and HP for space combat significantly, Especially Cubes.

- Increase Undine vessels to match these new Borg values

Long Term:

- Add the Romulans

- Add the Klingons

- Allow the option to get 'epic' Bridge officers you can build from start to finish like your character in creation screen. A.K.A Select race, traits, profession, looks, uniform

- Allow the option to upgrade player ships. A.K.A Turning the Defiant into a T5 ship with equal level of officer stations at the same level as T5.

- Allow the option to upgrade officer stations for existing ships. A.K.A Allowing a Fleet Escort to upgrade the Ensign Engineer, Lt Stations all the way to commander

- Increase the amount of options in the ship model customisation menu to include models of other ship classes. A.K.A Turn my Fleet escort into the visual appearance of the Prometheus without having to switch ship classes to get my prefered model.

- Add Fleet actions against ALL races, Terrans, Federation, Klingon, Romulan, Borg, Gorn, Undine etc. In both space AND ground flavours.

- Add the ability to make private content specifically for Fleets to do as a group with goals and rewards to match

- Player Fleet starbase / HQs that can be bought / built for suitable price

- Territorial Engagements allowing factions to claim and take space from rival factions. A.K.A Federation vs Klingon, Romulan, Cardassian

- Random invasion events like on the last day of Beta with the Borg with concise goals for the entire factions to participate for some reward.

Short-term

- Auto-fire for all weapons.
There's a huge thread already on it, and I made a well thought out post that gives ideas why this would work for the betterment of Star Trek Online (multi-instance playing, and network performance improvements being two of them).

- A new chat interface.
The chat interface is currently unworkable, between all of the spam and players, and that there are times when the game will jump to the chat while attempting to maneuver, and sometimes opens windows while trying to time. Private windows and a more reliable chat interface is badly needed.

- Sorting the Exchange
The Exchange needs functionality to sort by name, type, and price. This is critical because right now it's extremely hard to find the cheapest price on an item, unless there is less than a hundred items listed.

Mid-term

- Selectable Red Alert SFX
There are ships in this game that fit the current Red Alert sound, but ships like the Sabre need a more Defiant-isk like Red Alert sound, and the Nova should also apply with this rule as well. An easy fix is to be able to choose what Red Alert sound players want to use.

- Turbolift Doors
More textures for the turbolift doors inside Federation ships. They look semi-TOS, and although I wouldn't mind in the Miranda, it doesn't fit in a Sabre. More diversity is needed.

- Destructability
One of the weaknesses (and strengths) in this game is that there is no real way to hurt yourself in this game; it's like a padded room. The worst that can happen is having to wait 15 seconds until you respawn. In other games, you lose your ship, you've lost it forever. A penalty should be added for losing a ship, as right now just flying in guns blazing on one specific ship is a perfectly good strategy. It shouldn't be.

- Viewscreen Depth
A very simple fix; like in space stations, the viewscreen should have depth. Even if it isn't animated like now, adding a very simple box to the wireframe, and adding a skybox of sorts would give the feel of depth, and look less fake than it does now.

Long-term

- Ship Interiors
Being able to walk through your entire ship, particularly the Ready Room (which would be great for Fleet meetings). An ability to sit in the chairs would add to the feel.

- Flying from the Bridge
It would be neat to have a Starfleet Academy/Bridge Commander-esque view of the Bridge while flying missions or in combat.

- Volunteer Program
Some other MMO's have volunteer programs that helps reduce the load off of the developers. There certainly seems to be a vibrant community here; why not tap into this resource?

Short-term requests

1) Make the ground characters proportional to the environment. If I was on the Enterprise-D, my character would stand about as tall as door bell panel.
2) Stop the starships flying indoors/character floating in the vacuum of space glitch.
3)Add more non-interactive NPCs pretty much everywhere. Risa appears to be some random ppl on a small beach and a circle of ppl dancing.



Mid-term requests

1) Fix the death penalty! Suggest: Dont let dead crew regenerate and add an NPC to buy crew from the personnel dept at the starbase. Suggest: Longer respawn times each time you die.
2) Add more PVP zones and revamp the system for rewards in PVP for all races. Make PVP a kind of mission and have all parts of the game appeal to hardcore PVP-er and carebear alike.
3) Fix the death penalty!!! Yes I said this again because I cant stand flat, emotionless gameplay.


Long-term requests

1) Work diplomacy into the game. Reference Eve and faction standings. Open the door for interesting missions by varying NPC response based upon standing. Star Trek has never been about just combat, its about exploration and understanding as well.
2) Build the inside of your ship. Make the bridge functional. See Star Trek Voyager Elite Force 1 and 2 for interior ideas.
3) Get your entire organization focused on the customer experience and your ROI will be very high.

Short term

•Documentation on what skills and upgrades do and also showing there effect on the skills/stats for example where a prefire chamber up grades the cannon shot have this show when cannon info screen comes up.

•Its annoying standing in a room of identical computers then being told to find a different but identical computer, more variety in props.

•More uniform options automatically changing to fit different times, for example one when in a star base with weapon holstered on entry, one for away missions

•More options for the exchange on sorting by price etc

•Fix where in space combat you click on a control and it doesn't register.


Mid Term

•Skill points for ships, so we can improve our ships and not rely on new one at each level. Would add variety at T5 would allow players to upgrade consoles, change statistics (such as turn) or HP or buy new weapons slots for there ships. A deminishing return for points spent and a cap could be used for balance for example to stop an escort turning into a tank for example.

•Customisable Ship interiors ready rooms, quarters to show off personal items, customise it, make it your own, main engineering, sickbay, all that.

•Missions taking place on your own ship, chance to explore, interact with the crew and more get to know the bridge officer missions etc a lot of star treks appeal is the familiarity with the main cast, could be based on stance for example 2 brawlers get into an argument and you have to mediate,

•More episodic missions, these are what makes the game like star trek, city at the end mission ark is one of the best in any MMO i've played. Also fleet/group epic missions where all of the members can participate in there own instance.
It could be balanced by the weapons/shields etc of all lower ranked ships temporarily increading to the level of the mission.

•Exploration missions...flying through unexplored space you find more colonies and klingons/romulans etc would love some first contact ones where you have to talk to aliens, look around then use what you've found to try and make friends, for example could shake hands with a species where there king cant be touched and have to fight your way out or offer him food and have him reward you.

•staging room with tactical information displays just before PVP and fleets so the fleet members congregate before the mission and can discuss stratagy etc.


Long term

•New engine

•improved genesis system and ground missions in bases/starbases need more variety in there graphics, size and layout. Make cover an issue with main, BO and AI enemies having the option of using cover there moved near for example firing over crates and ducking back down. Could be done with a change in the miss chance.

•Holodeck missions to try out theoretical ship setups (for example select number/typr of enemies or where you and your group can go play through classic encounters from the shows as well as holobooks like captain proton and shirlock holmes.

•Flying from the bridge, what i would love to do is actually talk to the bridge crew for example saying "FIRE", "emergency power to the shields" or "set course for Sol....engage". Auto fire, a captain would not sit there and tell the tac officer to fire every three seconds.

•Make the world more open and dynamic within the neutral zones make it one big universe with all the players on together.

* Just fix the Mission and Interfacebucks!!!!
* Whene I find one Fed. Boy travelling alone. I want to attak them. It should be possible in PvP Sector blocks like Eta Eridani

Mid Therm


*I only want to make a suggestion to improve the exploration-missions were you have to investigate a Base!

The bases are generated randomly, and this is necessary to simulate an endless universe. In the present game, the bases locks like there never live someone.

I think that with small rules for the game to generate a Base, the atmosphere in the game can be improved.

I think about something like
-If it’s a Science station, there have to be at least one Laboratory, one cantina, livigquarter, medical station.
-If it’s a listiningpost, the program have the same rules but there is no laboratory, there is an big command room and an Observatory.

And so one… A few new graphic sets have to be added and I know that there are more pressing building sides in the game.

I only post this in the hope someone from the Dev-Staff read this and kip it in mind.
At this point the bases looks like there where never living beings on it.

Long Therm

* I am a Captain! I want have a choice. Give us some decisions to make. Not only linear mission.
* watsh Startrek!!!! I mean every Film, series. There are a hole bunch of Ideas for more variation on the Exploration maps.

And keep going. You have make an good foundation. With a lot of work STO can become an great game. But there is a lot to do to convince me to continue pay my fees in one or maybe five years from now.
