Erm. Powerhue and uniform customization are two different things. Uniform customization was an intended feature, permitted by the rights holder. Powerhue was left over because they used the CoH/CO codebase.

Paramount/CBS still want things to look Star Trek-y. Phasers are orange. Disruptors are green, etc. There's a rather involved style manual for working with the Star Trek IP, and it specifies the precise colours for all of these things.

Powerhue probably would have meant that CBS got very upset with Cryptic for violating the visual standards for the Star Trek IP.

Good grief, I can't believe this silliness. Dress your character however you like, dude. As for the way the rest of us dress our toons - mind your own business.

If it weren't for the customization, this game would offer nothing worthwhile whatsoever. That's why.

In starfleet there where infact differnt uniforms. Watch DS9 the station had a differnt uniform than some ships and also then starfleet command. (some ships had the spandex TNG uniforms and others aswell as starlfeet had the TNG uniforms.) and as for your current issue clothing in game time that was a life time ago.

Remove customization options in a MMO? Is this for real?
