I'm about 20 hours into the game and I am rank 12 atm.
I am what one would call a casual. I average maybe 1-2 hours a day. This will put me at Admiral in maybe a month or 2.
I think when you are playing for 3+ hours a day you are leaving the realm of casual to a mid level gamer, before hitting the hard core gamer playing 6+ a day.
I tend to read every bit of quest text as that I have never seen an episode of Star Trek or watched a movie outside of the 2009 release, so I'm trying to soak up the story.
I also spend a lot of time tweeking my Bridge Officers and gear around.
Klingon PvP leveling is fun, give it a try... it's how i'm slowing down, half way through Fed captain now.... and don't want to swap out my intrepid anytime soon.

Guess I'm a very casual gamer then. I hit Captain 2 last night. But the scary thing is at this rate I'll be admiral before the first 30 days is up. YUCK!
