"Cost" is completely arbitrary, though, for items that can't be bought from a vendor. The value of an item is completely dependant on what someone's willing to pay for the convenience of not having to go out and farm it. I can easily sell mid-range food to tribble breeders for 1,000-2,000 credits a pop. Should I really settle for 40 credits, because that's the worth the game's assigned to it?

Having used the exchange for the first time, I was wondering how you pick your money (from sales) up in your mail, there is no button to do so?

The energy credits are transfered automatically when the item sells. The mail item is just a notification.

currently, I only use drops/mission rewards/badge requistion items for my ships. Rarely have I had a reason to go into the Exchange to look for something.
1.) Prices are too high for some of the most common items. There are so many of the same items listed on the exchange. Its quite obvious they are selling mission rewards.
2.) As I listed above too many of the same items, not enough variety to actually find something useful or worth while.

Im willing to spend more for an item you cant easily obtain thru a vendor and isnt easy to find via missions. But not willing to pay the insane amounts asked for for items that are listed by the dozens in the exchange currently.
Cost is dependant on Supply and Demand. If there is more supply then demand. It means you need to drop the prices. And that is not happening on the Exchange as the useful items dont make it into the exchange and the same items are being left there simply because theyre green.

I wouldnt mind being able to filter by price. Tired of having to go through all the exorbitantly over priced crap before finding something that doesnt have a 1 to the 999th power mark up multiplied by 30 to the second power.

Would save me time and reward the people that actually want to sell things the time of day.

Hilarious and sad at the same time. In the open beta, I made 230,000 credits by selling items listed between face and 30% markup. I sold everything I put up. Now, I can't get anything to sell even though my items are some of the best priced on the exchange. I put up an uncommon Mark IV Quantum launcher for 6,000 credits. A fair price for a Mark IV, seeing as how the listed value is about 4,200. No one has bought it. Probably because there are several others listed at 90,000 credits, which scares people away. They see that and go '**** it', not even bothering to read the rest of the list. So a word to all the markup ******* .... Stop doing it you turds.
I saw the one's listed for 6K.. but I opted to buy the ones selling for 2900 on the 2nd page.

Sure it will get improved when they get time, it certainly needs more filtering.

Would be bad enough in a multi server game, but with so many people able to freely put trash on there its awful.
The exchange is exactly the same in Champions Online, lack of sorting and all.
