Ok so here is the problem,i just got my new ship and ive tried to get Viral Matrix for my science bo but so far i havent been succesful.

I bought a bo with the skill viral matrix II and i have trained some other ones that u had in Viral Matrix I but so far i cant seem to use that skill...

Some help on this matter would be much apreciated.

P.S: Oh forgot to say im a Tac Captain using an escort ship.

Techyon Beam is good for lowering shields. It would work especially well on an Escort because it has a firing arc (unlike many other powers that can be fired at any angle). Jam Sensors prevents the enemy from targeting you, which is helpful in PvE if you are just slightly overwhelmed by enemies.

I believe that Viral Matrix is one of the Captain ranked skills. When you make Admiral and promote the Science Officer to Captain you should be able to use it.

You will not be able to use Viral Matrix on an escort. Viral Matrix I is a Science Commander level ability. As such, you need to have at least one BO position that allows for a science BO to use Commander abilities. Escorts do not allow for that (Fleet escorts have 1 Science BO at Lt Commander, Advanced escorts have 2 Science BOs - 1 at Lt Commander, and 1 at Ensign).

Personally, I'm using Polarize Hull I and Science Team II for my Lt Commander Science BO right now. Polarize Hull reduces damage to the hull and deflects tractor teams, Science Team II reduces shield damage by at least 25% and almost completely recharges all shields.

Personally, when I read, "Captain looking for advice on how to acquire Viral Matrix for his Bo," all I could think is that a viral matrix is most likely the cause of your BO. A good soap and antiperspirant may be more what you need.
