Data would be emotionally compromised

Geordi's Visor would look like a 2010 Ford Mustang grille instead of a Cadillac air filter

Tasha Yar wouldn't be dead, and Worf would be one of the main villains

The Bridge would be shinier

LCARS would be blue already

Vulcans would all be living on Betazed where they would be the primary psychologists, psychotherapists, and governing officials.

Doctor Crusher, Wesley, and Riker would all be aliens of some sort for the sake of diversity and a better VFX budget.

No more Admiral Sela
...and no one would be able to find Sulu.

One big difference would be that Spock and Uhura would be dating. That might cut out the entire episode of Amok Time. And who knows, they might get married, destroying the universe even more. It would be interresting to see the origional Spock's reaction to new Spock and new Uhura dating.

Wow, I'm finding a lot of subtle bashing on the new movie. Grow up, the new movie was awesome. New timeline TNG would probably go something along the lines of this.

-The Enterprise D would probably look a little more streamlined, perhaps a Galaxy with some Sovereign sleekness to it.

-Wesley Crusher wouldn't be the deus ex machina to fix all problems in the first movie, and may be written off all together since he was a stupid character from his inception.

-Troi would do something other than crash the Enterprise into something every time she gets temporary command.

-Wolf 359 would be an even bigger massacre since the Borg would be even more advanced, assuming they find future Borg tech from the remnants of the Narada as well as potential debris from the Borg Sphere that went back in time to First Contact, which still technically happened in both timelines.

-We'd actually get to see Yar get it on with Data. Also, Yar would take Wesleys spot on the bridge.

-Doctor Soong would design Data to resemble a Vulcan in honor and respect of them, given that they are now a rare race.

-The Federation would be at peace with the Romulans, not the Klingons.

-Worf would still be a Starfleet Cadet, and be even more p1ssed.

-John de Lancie would still play Q and openly talk about his time with alternate universe Picard and perhaps even take new Picard to meet Picard Prime.

Picard would still be Locutus Of Borg.

Tasha would still be alive.

Data will still be alive and be Riker's first officer.

Wesley will still be wherever he is with the Traveler.

The Federation would say f u to the Romulans and create a cloaking device.

Kira would be dead by DS9 finale.

Nog would still be working at Quark's Bar.

The new enterprise is NOT twice the size of the original. Screenshots clearly show windows and people moving around inside them on a scale that is roughly on par with the original. Abrams was high when he said that and clearly did NOT consult with the design staff who did the CGI.

Also, the new ship is ugly, and should not contain the Einheuser-Busch Brewery. That was a cheap solution to an engineering section on a par with 'Space Mutiny'. A South African sci fi film where they used Battlestar Galactica library footage ran backward for the space scenes. Also featured in an episode of Mystery Science Theater where Crow T. Robot is actually heard to say, "Where'd they film this? The Einheuser-Busch Brewery??"

What? Did Abrams see that ep of MST and go. "BRILLIANT!!!"?

I'd tend to say that for the most part not too much would have changed, with 10,000 survivors the Vulcan Race would resettle some where else and rebuild their race. 150 years later there could be 20,000-30,000 Vulcan's so they wouldn't get be the great intellectual power of the Alpha Quad but they'd still have some influence. With Spock leading the Vulcans it is very likely that in the Beta Universe they'd find a way to prevent Romulus from being destroyed and this would probably be a great step twords unification. The Federation will of course know all about the Borg and the Dominion long long before they show up so I'd guess you'd see no Wolf-359 and the Dominion War would still be fought but the Federation-Klingon war before hand would probably be prevented with their knowledge of changelings.

In all honesty... Vulcans would probably end up pretty thoroughly crossbreeding with humanity. Think of the Romulan/Vulcan insults then.

The JJverse Enterprise D (which might end up being the C for that timeline), will likely NOT look like the one from Primeverse. Already the ship architects are changing their design philosophies... it may not be any larger, but it would be more combat orientated. The C (or, likely, B) Ambassador class that is in JJverse would also likely be heavier weaponed.... which raises very interesting questions about how the timeline runs if they don't end up destroyed at Kitomer.

Too bad you dont like, its still bigger than prime universe galaxy class...some shots had a 1:1 scale with the regular connie, but later on JJ and the SFX guys made the ship MUCH larger, particularly in the shots that involved the shuttle bay as well as showing the saucer section versus the engine section.

And just to show you how wrong you are, on interview EVERYONE says the ship is larger.
