I must disable my UI-sounds because of this what's bad because I can't hear tells incoming and can't also hear the other UI-sounds which I like.

Dev's, please remove this sound, in ground and in space
Simple solution to this.

Use the TrayExecByTray command. It does not invoke the "key not ready" sound.

I agree, I hate that when i'm not really watching my hot-bar and just watching what is going on around me.

I also agree, that sound is so god awful annoying. I was very suprised that there wasn't an option to turn it off.

works perfectly

although you'll need to manually remap everything. even the standard key binds.

for example.. try

/bind 5 "+TrayExecByTray 0 4"

no annyoing sound at all.

I have tried to play around with these commands, but what you have here is just a step beyond what I am familiar with.

What does this actually do?

Does it bind the "5 key" to "TrayExecByTray" to "0" (everything?) at a magnitude of "4?"

My assumptions are based in "/powerhue 0 300" for pink phasers and the explainations I have seen for how that works.

Does this actually turn the "weapon-not-ready" sound off for each weapon? Just the weapon in slot 5?

Sorry, but I am a bit of a noob to this format.

Yeah. Especially in a fap spacebar game... they should get rid of it.

This is my favorite suggestion ever. I did this and I was able to turn my UI sounds back on. The rest of the sounds are really well-done and add to the immersion of the game.

Don't feel bad, sound guy. We like the rest of your stuff, just not that one.
