Considering what all your wrote, the shared cooldowns would ruin your "element of suprise"..I think there is beauty in simple things, so i just disable whole shield system and kill of the target with torps...

The tractor beam i would say is not really much use as for a carrier it takes blooming ages to turn to a new shield facing even with evasive maneuvers.
