# 1 Purposefully Bugged mission?
02-16-2010, 01:23 PM
In the Rolar nebula there is a mission: "Defend Lambdii X" or some such where the Cardasians keep beaming away to up on top of these huge unaccesable mushroom like rock formations. Your crew leaves you to be up there as well. You keep killing Cardasians and they keep beaming away at the last minute before dying.

Is this a purposefull dig at subscribers? If so that particular programmer needs discipline.

I encountered this last night exploring the B'Tran Cluster while doing my daily. It was Borg though, not Cardies. Obviousy, the glitch lies in this particular map, regardless of the NPC's involved or area of space where encountered. I had to drop it as there was absouletly no way to advance it.

How do you drop it?

You click the 'drop mission' button.

Yes, instead of the mission being an accidental bug it was done on purpose in Cryptic's continual attempt to drive away all of their player base so they'll go out of business and fire all their employees. Those devious fiends!

I have not encountered the "drop mission" button yet, thus my inquiry. Could someone kindly tell me exactly where it is located?

Open the captains log window, click the episodes tab, select the mission you wish to drop. The drop button will be at the lower right of the window.

its not a map issue - its a pathing issue (might be a map overlay or it could just be the spawn locations + back-face clipping blocking movement). I've seen on a number of maps (at least you can see where they go - I've seen NPC's go underneath the terrain).

To get rid of the mission - the specific mission is added to your journal when you enter it. Figure out which one it is, exit mission -
open journal
select mission tab (if you're not looking at already)
select that mission
click Drop Mission button on the bottom of the window in Missions tab of the journal.

[Edit] looking at previous poster - I stand corrected on specific names. My bad.

Sadly I don't appear to have a drop mission button.

Delete entry is always grayed out?

you had the right window open in the first pic, but you are on the wrong tab. you need to go to the episodes tab, then select the mission and the drop option will be at the lower right
