I'm hoping someone out there has figured this out. I was playing around one day looking at and trying to figure out all the slash commands, and typed /anon. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but after typing it again, I stayed anonymous.
"You are now anonymous"
so I figured, "right then, I'll just retype that and get rid of the status. good to know that's there."
"you are now anonymous."
I've tried /anon off, /anon toggle, /toggle anon, /off anon. /workdamnyou, and all kinds of different things. I've combed over all setting, but still cannot find a way to get rid of this.
For a long time, it wasn't a big deal, but now that I'm looking to join a fleet, I sort of need folks to know when I'm logged on for communications purposes.
Go into social and set your self to public again.
As for the anon command i believe it needs an argument of either 1 or 0 to toggle on and off.
/anon won't accept any arguments at all, BUT I was able remove anon by going into the social panel as you suggested. There is an unlabeled button in the friends tab that reveals "search visibility" when moused over. This is where one can choose friends only, all, or anonymous.
Thanks a TON for that suggestion. I feel like Ive been in time-out for a week.
