I didn't say anyone should shut up. Did I tell anyone to shut up? That would be wierd, I usually only tell Wesley to shut up. (Though does anyone NOT tell Wesley to shut up?)

I pointed out there's no Death penalty and so you don't really lose anything if they happen to kill you as soon as you spawn. I then pointed out that you don't enjoy something in the game, and are asking everyone to not do it cause you don't enjoy it. Then I pointed out that someone said they hadn't done these since open beta went on to post a full opinion about them. (And "You shouldn't talk {about -subject-}" is a friendlly turn of phrase where I come from, I apologize if you don't view it in the same light) then I babbled for a bit about opinions vs positions, then I said that I don't tell people to Shut... wait, I think I just lapped myself.

Until Star Trek Online wakes up and fixes this problem I urge everyone to boycott Deep Space encounters. If you get sucked into one exit to sector space immediately.

I understand people think these attacking ships were placed there to stop AFK'ing. I don't really care about that, but I do care about being constantly jumped when I try to participate in one of these and if a boycott is what it's going to take to get this fixed, then I'm all for it.
I don't know what you're flying, but I have no problem surviving the first group in a DSE. Most of the time it's just two ships, maybe a bunch of fighters helping them out. Both my Science Vessel and my Cruiser have no problem dispatching them with relative ease. AoE attacks help.

I still hate getting sucked into them though. I now only go AFK in missions or when I'm at a star base, or Risa.

When you zone in, if you find the Enemy fleet camping the respawn point, just switch instances.

What i hate is when you have a 2 minute timer left and a "noob" starts taking out the single ships before the timer resets. Save those for the first two kills, and now you only have 8/10 or 7/9 to finish up.

???

A few nights ago I was jumped by 2 Deridex warbirds and maybe 3-4 Mogai escorts. Fun stuff, fun stuff. One such encounter I actually managed to come out on top. I spent the next few minutes saying "Eat it Starfleet! Give ME a medal for beating your no-win test without cheating!"

It is very anoying , just move the spawn point back more , job done , at the moment it is really really anoying.

Get jumped by them , wait for load screen , get bombarded , warp out. LOL

Seriously though just move the spawn waypoint back away from the action more .

Just leave the DSE until they get the issues ironed out?

If you really want to go AFK just park yourself on top of a named system and you are golden. I do it all the time when answering questions from fleet mates and have yet to get bugged with an instance. I'm still waiting for random sector space boarding party instances...

No I didn't. Then again this is hardly the same thing.

I'm not on autorun, but I've never played an MMO (and this is about my 6th? 7th?) where the devs deliberately set up an overwhelming spawn right on the zone in point.

You know, there's probably a reason for that, don't you think...?

I stopped reading your post right there because you obviously didn't read mine.

If it were just two ships this thread wouldn't exist.

Go back and read what I wrote, then come back.
