# 1 Medals of Distinction ... ?

I've had a look, and not found anything on this, but ... what are these for? Can they be used like exploration badges/Medals of Bravery? If so, where are they to be used? I haven't sound anyone that trades in them.

I'm not sure if there are various different types, but I know that the medals of exploration can be turned in to various quatermasters to get basic rank 2, 4, 6, etc gear for your ship

There are no medals of exploration. You're thinking of badges of exploration.

Medals of XXX are PvP rewards. The type of medeal depends on the rank of PvP you did to get them. You can trade Medals at Deepspace K7 for stuff.
