It's so disgusting this hasn't been fixed. It happens ALL the time.
You're sitting there fighting and you blow an ability and it goes off, but then all of a sudden the ability never went off and isn't on cooldown (or sometimes is for high yield torp). This most commonly happens with reverse shield polarity. You see the green RSP go off on yourself, the cooldown gets used, then 5s later you're wondering why you're dying and RSP is ready to be used again. WTF?
Cryptic, stack your actions in the server so we don't have to deal with this client side BS of skills not going off. It's 100% unacceptable and this game is practically non-playable. I say practically only because it's not even a finished game to begin with. We're still in the alpha testing stages it seems.
Edit - Better and so much easier solution. DO NOT SHOW ANIMATIONS UNLESS THE SERVER HAS ACCEPTED THE ACTION. It's honestly that simple. Let the button get pressed, but don't show the animations UNTIL THE SERVER HAS ACCEPTED THE ACTION.
While I agree with your base point, this kind of statement will get you a few things.
1)In trouble for being derogatory.
2)A bad rep for using such a phrase. Could be offensive to people who have children with downs, know someone with downs, or are just PC. Being upset and making your voice heard is one thing and lots of people will accept that, but using such a phrase just makes you look ignorant.
actually, in all seriousness Devs, make whatever happens happen, go ahead and show the animations, even for things so simple as running down a hallway. But if there's server lag, let the computer tell your server what we did and make it catch up instead of rubberbanding us back in time, back before we performed the combt function or even entered the hallway.
