# 1 Suggestion to improve the game

I'm sure I just missed where to put this, but failing that, let's start a thread for ideas for improvement... Realistic ideas for improvement. I'll bring posts to the top and credit you for your suggestions. Hopefully Cryptic game developers will look here from time-to-time.

A- When a mission is completed, there si some scrolling text that flys across the monitor upon turning it in. Problem is that the color of the text matches the background and I can not read it. Can Cryptic either change the color or add some kind of outline or shadow to the text to make it more legible?

B- When I mouse over an item (Ex: Memory Alpha, Exchange), the item stats fill the whole screen from the top of the screen to the bottom. Can this be made smaller or in a more compact box such that I can see and compare the items above and below it. Scrolling through and learning about the items becomes a tedious chore; tiresome on the eyes. A compact box that opened to the left perhaps with an option to expand its details with a "right click" would make it just a little better.

C- Mission tracking is nigh impossible to me. If there is a better way to navigate missions that I have not completed, please offer a tutorial or make it easier. The commander's log screen is just a confusing jumble of messages.

D- In starship mode, I can turn right and left quite effectively, but the ship has incredible difficulty going up or down (yaw vs pitch?). In 3-D space, I should be able to fly a loop like an aircraft, but the ship seems to get stuck at a certain angle and will not orient straight up from my original orientation. As an escort, I can not unload cannon fire into the belly of a ship from below? Any thoughts?

It's not an aircraft. It's more like a battleship. If you're ever seen one of those do a loop, we can talk.

Thank you for the feedback. However, I am hoping for more ideas corrections that we can suggest to Cryptic to implement in the efforts of making this game a little better.

It is also right on the screen that pops up from my First Officer to tell me the mission is completed, so I can not read it before it scrolls off the screen.

Needs fixing.

You're welcome, and here's an idea to suggest to Cryptic: Making the starships perform like jet planes will make the game worse, not better.

I'm fine with the restricted up/down movement, it's supposed to be a tactical battle after all and not some dogfight. But if that's the case then arrange the enemy targets accordingly in PvE, a little part of me dies every time I see a map that obviously has a tilted base plane, but mine is fixed and it's a pain in the ass to do them like this. (Remember the ones when the next target is always below you? I mean those ones.)

I disagree with the mission tracking thing, it's not a complex interface at all. I didn't really get it what could be improved there.

At first glance, the mission guide on the right seems good. It appears in an outline type format which appears organized, but certain location are in different parts of the map than where you are currently. It would be nice if I could click that quest and the last message instructing me where to go to complete that quest would open in a window for me. Trying to track down that original message is a pain in the patutti.

Any more simple fixes or good suggestions?
