Anyone remember the many months of the NX-91001 gracing the front of the website? Then when Cryptic revised the whole site, all traces of it seemed to vanish.

I feel like maybe there was some special story for this ship? Flagship of the fleet? Enterprise-F? Or just the first in her class (Noble)?

So what happened to it?

I've heard it was the star of the new book "Needs of the Many". I'm definitly picking it up, It's set in the star trek universe around 2409 and it's going to be epic. Data, captain of the new Sovereign refit U.S.S. Enterprise.

As far as I understand the Enterprise-E was still in service under Captain Data, (B4) So I doubt it'd be Enterprise-F. Not sure otherwise myself either.

I never really liked that ship.

Mostly cos it was really just a Sovereign with some extra bits stuck on.

The "window display" showing off STO really should have been a wholly original design, not just a rehashed old ship.
