What you say should be true..but one look at the MES nerf shows that nerf=broken in this game alot of the time.

In terms of extremely powerful abilities that can be exploited as "I win Buttons" - again, both are in the same category, but I'll give you that one.
Cloak is a powerful offesive power, but come now it not even in the same leauge as SNB. I mean its easy to overcome the inital cloak advantage of Klingon. EASY.

A 20+ second stun lock of all powers? It's not even close to being the same.

Also you are missing the point. This is not a fed only ability. Klingons have it as well. So they get cloak and SNB. I have personally been hammered with this combination far too often (decloak Jam sensors, force me to use ST1, SNB and then VM if that doesn't kill me.) Soon all Klingons will roll Sci and then we will see how happy you are when a fleet of BoP just SNB the hell out of you.

Quote me fully or not at all.

I did say that I consider SNB overpowered - the same way pre-Science Team Change VM was: Too great of a benefit for how easy it is to use.

No, I did not miss the point - I know that both sides have access to it. My point is that this whole "This ability is too powerful and therefore a) Devs are, once again, the "negligent parent figure", so screw you devs and b) anyone using said ability is thus implied to be an exploiter, is to thus be figuratively spat on with remarks of "yeah, SNB, that's skill!" and neglected for the purposes of further skill discussion " - thing is laughable.

My point is that while the ability is as it is (powerful and available to both sides), in my experience it is highly underused by the Klings - so, at this point it works out to be "Their stealth versus my SNB" and I'll keep on using the ability as it is right now in the way that allows me to win - "borderline exploit" thing be damned....

Again, no direct comparison, but if the Stealth Gives them an edge (and buddy, I hunt stealthers for a living in STO as a spotter for my team (Cruiser/Escort). Spare me.) - I'll give them SNB as a negating counter. For as long as it works as such.

At the same time - back to my original point - even considering all I've said I agree - the ability is providing too great of a benefit for how it is to use in its full capacity (High Aux -> Long duration. Very devastating)
