Well by default W,A,S,D on the n52te is 03,07,08,09 but you can change it yes. If you want to make the d-pad be W,A,S,D then you need to open the n52te editor (You did install the software for the gamepad right, if so it's in your taskbar...?), and change the d-pad buttons to be W,A,S,D instead of UP,Left,Down,Right. Don't try to use binds in STO to make it work with your gamepad, change the binds of the gamepad to use the STO default keystrokes.

This will save you a lot of hassle later if you have more than one character as keybinds in STO do not carry across characters...

I bought the N52te, but the ergo wrist rest was too much of an angle for me to be comfortable. I traded in for a razer Naga mouse (it has ten buttons where your thumb goes). http://store.razerzone.com/store/raz...oryId.35208800
That mouse did not work for me either, it felt like I was pushing a button when I squeezed the mouse to move it.
I traded the mouse in for a Logitech G13 gamepad, very simular to the N52te but not as much ergo angle.
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/ke.../5123&cl=us,en I am starting to like the G13, it even has an LCD screen that shows your health and shield staus. The G13 scanns your computer and automaticly profiles the gamepad for WoW, LotR, and DDO, but it does not find STO for some reason (probaly the STO is still too new).

my advice is get your money back on the N52TE and get a logitech G13 instead. Belkin has all but abandoned the N52TE suport and driver wise.
