Whenever I die inside a system, I click respawn and the window goes away, then nothing happens. I have to click the icon "Depart System", which aborts the mission and returns me to sector space, but then I'm dead there and I have to wait for the window / respawn timer to countdown, then I click respawn and end up getting thrown back to a far corner of the sector when I respawn.

Yeah happens to me as well, just go to the icon near minimap to bring up any small pop up window in center then close it then the respawn window comes back and is useable.

I had this happen once so far. After it happened I thought maybe the Respawn icon had gotten pushed back behind the main screen somehow.

For this theres a little fix

Double hit ESC and your respawn button should "respawn" back on your screen

Yup I'm seeing the same thing with being unable to respawn.

I will try the trick of double escape and getting another window to popup.

To the two folks I wasn't able to help complete the mission but still sponged the completion off of, I apologize!
