There's also the runabout bug. If you bought a runabout then all your main ships shield and engine and weapon stats revert to runabout stats untill you by a new ship. Maybe more stats, I don't know. But buying another ship in your tier/class should revert your in battle stats to the correct values. Don't know if this is what your seeing but it sounds like it. Your equip stats seem to reflect the last ship you bought right now, the Devs are working on it I'm told.
Yep - I can confirm this now as well. I bought an escort yesterday just to have a little fun with - I'm a sci captain, and my normal ship is a t5 sci - and after I was done knocking around in my new glass cannon I switched back to my DSSV. Happened to bring up my ship equipment, and put the mouse over the shields. They were suddenly reporting only 6513 shields, and this for for covariant mk X in a sci ship.
I immediately put in a gm ticket, and had a response waiting for me this morning. It's a known bug and they are working on it. However, I also noticed that if I pulled up my ship status, and looked under defense, my correct shields capactive (10k+) is being shown there. So it does seem to only be a tooltip error.
Cryptic guy 1: "The gamers are complaining that the game is too easy."
