I came up with some suggestions to help make Klingons more entertaining and improve their overall gameplay. I will not add in-depth reasoning, as this post will probably not draw much attention. And what designer/developer has time to read whole walls of text?
Short Term Suggestions:
Give Klingons the ability to set their faction to "neutral" so that they may do Federation missions when they need a break from PvP or the queues slow down.
Increase the amount of EXP earned for Klingons in PvP. Double EXP weekends or a permanent EXP boost.
Create more PvP Maps/World Settings
Long Term Suggestions:
a. Hire Michael Dorn to voice the Klingon story arcs.
b. Hire Mary Kay Adams to voice the computer on Klingon starships.
Create PvE content consistent with what Federation players have.
Create a GM system where Cryptic employees have the ability to initiate live game events on a weekly basis.
Thats a good start. Here are a couple of other suggestions:
a. Make good on Cryptic promises such as Joined Trill Klingons.
b. Fix the PvP queue system.
c. Make sure equal time spent on PvP results in something approaching equal rewards for time spent on PvE (to include experience, drops and mission rewards).
d. Make the ground and space PvP maps about 100 times larger, and weapons ranges longer. I.E. "sniper rifle" outranges a pistol by 50 to 100 times and ships can fire furhter than the Spanish-American War of 1898. (Maps of ships and stations can stay small.) This will cut down on the silliness that is now melee.
e. Create mixed tier open battle maps (ground and space) where hundreds of players can battle it out - in other words a consentual open PvP area.
f. Let players do realistic things like blow holes in the walls of ships and buildings to create additional passageways.
