***Resolved Issues***
"Login failed for unknown reason" error
Missing additional character slot for current/ lapsed Gold Members
The first time I completed this mission there was only the choice of 4 different Impulse engines - of which the Efficient Impulse Engines were clearly far superior. (The rewards themselves come from the Past Imperfect mission which is the second part)
Now though the rewards have changed to include(All Mk IV):
-Hybrid Disruptor/Plasma Beam Array (only shows 2.5% chance of disruptor resistance debuff)
-Paratrinic Shield Array (Looks like Covariant, maybe improved version)
-Plasma Dual Heavy Cannons (I forget what was special about these)
-Efficient Impulse Engines (Same as before).
They all look really interesting, but are still Bind on Pickup so u can only pick one - and still the Impulse Engines seem to be the only ones that scale up well.
(Sharing the mission doesn't let u pick another reward)
I think it would be great if this mission was repeatable so you could take the other rewards as well for the duration of LC.
Any1 know what the Hybrids do? Or any way to get them all on 1 alt?
I'd stick with the engine anyway since everything else is later replaced with better weapons/shields etc. I'm now RA5, and I have yet to find an engine that gives you +5 power to three systems at once! Please correct me if I'm wrong guys, but I haven't found a purple engine reward that tops that Efficient Impulse engine yet!

I'd have to agree with you...still using mine at RA 5
Yeah I think most people pick the Efficient, and even with the other intriguing options I still did this time around.
Really want to know what the others do and have a go with them, without wasting a character.
EDIT: The Paratrinic shields MK IV give quite significantly more Shield capacity than Covariant MK IV but still doesn't make em viable because they don't scale up to MK X.
I've played around on my Tac/Escort RAdm5 and am finally considering switching to a different engine type that will allow me to hit the Def cap without diverting too much to engines. Yea ill lose +5 power to weapons, shields(?), and aux BUT. Im already pushing the weapons power cap through skillpoints, I can make up for its loss with a weapons console...shields do very little for me since i rock covariants exclusively and 1 more regen is a drop in the bucket, I have very few skills that depend on aux and I assure you i wont even notice the turn rate loss.
Being Defense capped (60% with elusive) would sure be a bigger survivability boon than +5 power i wont miss anywhere. There nothing like a HY salvo that completely misses me without Evasive maneuvers on.
It is sad however that this engine did last me sooo long and before my skills were filled in there was simply no other logical choice. These engines were and still are the best choice.
