# 1 Klingon Faction - Joined Trill
03-21-2010, 08:03 AM
Just wondering if Joined Trill have been added to the Klingon faction for those of us with the appropriate bonus on Tribble. If not, <mildly irritated remark on the lack of punctuality displayed for the implementation of certain bonus content intended for launch><gentle reminder for Cryptic to follow up>.

Also, before the inevitable rants of the uncomprehending masses:

1: Yes, I mean characters of the Trill species, specifically the bonus Joined Trill, not any ridiculous Klingon with a symbiont or such nonsense

2: Yes, this is intended to be in game. It was in the formerly stickied thread on missing bonus items/perks. Do a search before you start spewing rage about non-canon elements not being allowed in your STO.

3: Yes, it is fairly important. On top of the fairly standard "promised but not delivered" argument, this isn't a simple cosmetic change you can apply to your already leveled Klingon character. You'd have to start an entirely new character to make use of it, and given how long the game has been out, that is a fairly serious concern.

No ETA, but it is in the works.. keep checking the Engineering Reports section of the Forum or the Tribble Test Server section of the forum to see where development is and if it is in the patching process.

Trills and Joined Trills weren't meant for the Klingon Race to begin with.. especially since Trill is a Federation member planet..

The Trills that went to Klingon or worked with Klingons were Ambassadors of Trill or the Federation and were never actually part of the Klingon Empire..

Now due to Customers asking for the Klingon Joined Trill, Cryptic now has to code it into the game.. so it may take a bit.. but it is at least in the developers notes that it is in development.

Because Trills never learned how to speak Klingon and they are part Tribble.

Yeah, I'm not a happy Klingon about this either. Feds get handed 3 new playable C-store species and we can't get access to something we've already paid for.

And to those who say "Trills are a Federation species, they'd never fight for the Empire" I say "what's good for the tribble is good for the targ."

There are probably more Klingon species Captains in Star Fleet than the KDF. Cryptic has turned the story of Worf, a 1 of a kind Klingon, who served in Star Fleet during peace/alliance with the Empire, into a C-store commonality during a time of war. If there are that many traitorous Klingons then what's to prevent a few Trill, or Feringi, or Vulcans from going over to the Empire? Certainly not canon or logic.

Does Cryptic have a daily meeting where the subject is "what can we do for the Federation today"? "How can we anticipate the least little desires of Federation players?" But the only time Klingons come up is when they go over the nerf list?

I agree! Let us be any race on any side! Klingon Pakled, here I come! WOOT! So totally going to be L33T and all that LOL

Klingon: For the Empire!
Pakled: We are strong!
Klingon: Today is a good day to die!
Pakled: We are strong!
Klingon: We shall drink the blood of the vanquished!
Pakled: It makes us go!
