My Science character has the Geophysicist Mk IX Kit and none of the abilities function at all. Clicking them does nothing. Thermal Vent, Gravimetric Shift, Nanoprobe Infestation etc. all do not function at all.

Also, Personal Shield Mk IX [Cap] [Reg] registers -1 for total power and is inoperative.

These are gamebreakers as the toon is unplayable in this state.

Any word on this? Neither of these are working at all.

Ticket ID# 775,150 was submitted for this issue. Please look into this as Ground Combat is essentially broken for this character.

Same thing is happening to me since Season 1 patch. I did not use a respec or anything. I logged in and I went directly to the Big Dig fleet action.

I am Admiral 5 and I was using Closed Combat Specialist Mk. IX (rare, so blue item)

- Stun Grenade II: Working okay.
- Motion Accelerator III: Not working at all.
- Lunge III: Working okay.
- Leg Sweep III: I can click it, but it will do Securtiy Escort II instead. The actual Icon for Security Escort II will also activate. Both powers will have the timer for recharging. If I click the actual Security Escort II ability, Leg Sweep III wont activate at the same so it is not grayed out with a timer, but clicking it wont do anything.

And for some reasons, re-equiping the kit will also add the ability Going Down Fighting in my ground tray, which is a ship ability. It is not clickable though.

Everything else is doing fine.

Quick question you may be able to answer.
Did you get the kit from exploration badges? Exchange? and Kling or Fed side.

One thing i know is the exploration one is bind on pickup while you could get them on kling side for energy credits as unbound even stay unbound when worn. So might be one of the 2 is bugged.

Thanks.

I've also noticed that none of the powers from the Geophysicist kit show in my power tray. I can't add them from the list.

Is there anything else we can provide to make this easier to track down? I'd rather not buy new kits/shields from the Exchange or from badges without knowing I will not run into the same issue with those.

I found some similar posts about this and wanted to link them here for consistency.

Hope these help narrow this down. Please let us know if we can provide any additional info to help track this one down. I'd rather not spend the funds/badges for new gear if the same thing will happen.

I can confirm again that the dev team considers this a very high-priority issue and is working on a fix. This was identified on Friday and led to immediate investigation and action. Forum reports did play a key role in raising our awareness of the issue, and tickets have helped give a better idea of the impact. It appears that this same issue is affecting a large number of items with attached powers (engines, weapons, kits), and we are aware of this.

I'll post again once I have some more solid information, such as when a fix can be expected and how it will affect you.
