Since it takes for ever to capture a point and klingons are so fragile to be exposed to long that this totally favors feds. The games have become zerg fights. BoP are even more fragile then before and are easily 3 or 4 shotted by any type of ship. Removing the brackets of ships at range makes no sense even in modern fighters and tanks you have brackets of enemies and friendlies in the battle. This also favors feds who have don't have to point their ships to fire so TAB space bar for the win. The pendulum swung a bit far imo. Some skills are pointless now since you wont live long enough to use them. Go ahead flame away these are legitimate problems but replacing old issues with new ones are not he way to go.

Only beam and turret users can hit without pointing. And the beams work better if they can broadside you.

Have you tried anything more than whining on the forums? From the first quote it is obvious that you don't totally understand the game, maybe you have missed something.

Again, i do not find the bop to be made of paper, i can and do take fire from multiple ships for reasonable periods of time, i am not a cruiser geared for tanking but then i wouldn't expect to be. I use a bop for both my tac and sci. if i go head to head with an escort and all my defences are on cooldown and so are the escorts then yes i could die, not always die, but the posibility exists as it should. yes if i get massive focus fire i am not going to survive without assistance (assuming i cant run) but then the same can be said for a lot of ships.
Why does my bop survive, becasue of the skillpoints i spent, the officer abilities i use and the awareness and experience to know when to apply them. Respecs are expensive but get it right and you can do very well.
The same argument can be said of arean maps, where the klingons can cloak and wait til they have superior numbers because if you wait long enough someone with ADD on the fed side will go flying off out of boredom. Of course this hyperbole speaking.

^This. BoPs can be a lot more durable than most people realize if you set up for it. You'll lose a little DPS at the top end but you do 0 damage while you're waiting to respawn.
