Confusing means that you're not tired or bored - me neither! Also been playing since open beta, and my Fleet has quite a few US EST as well as all over Earth - timezone means less as many have offbeat playing schedules. Some of us have ranked up to cap quickly, some of us have taken our time.
The VKF is very much into learning about the game and sharing our info, plus teaming in-game to do missions (even one's we've already done and are below our current level). What makes this game so good is embodied in how teams work together. We at the VKF like to let each member use their strengths and skills, and depend on other team-mates to do likewise, whilst coordinating their efforts. This is very unlike your average PUG, and so much more fun.
The VKF has structure, maturity, resources, heck even a Fleet uniform, but we don't force our members to be, use, or do any of that unless they want to. We just all want to enjoy STO for what each one of us wants, and the Fleet has the resources to meet varying needs. Our Fleet bank has items to upgrade your equipment and weapons, as well as items you can use to do crafting at Memory Alpha if that's what you like. We have a detailed forum that allows us to share game tips, info and intel, for those who want to deepen their knowledge without having to learn it all by experience only. And we have comeraderie, fun chatting in Vent or on the Fleet chat channel, and the fun of coordinating our attacks on enemies.
Anyway, check us out here at

www.vulcankolinahrfleet.com and see if we're what you are looking for. Live Long and Prosper!
