Mmmh, Klingon does not live on raw meat alone. With all the cooking and baking we'll have to have a fire, and fire requires . . . wood. So wood cutting won't be far behind.

And now that STO toons will be able to properly sit in chairs we must have . . . furniture crafting! Another use for wood too.
Well, the way I described it was probably too short, so I'll give it another shot.
Rura Penthe is not just an asteroid, but a planetoid with normal gravity and atmosphere.
So there would be enough space for more than one Gulag.
And since the concept of Rura Penthe in ST6 was that of an analogy to Siberia I'd like to point out that
the Soviets had more than one kind of Gulag, they also had Gulags filled with scientists who conducted research, though they never received the credid for their work.

And what better place to put such a research Gulag than Rura Penthe?
People would still have the same problems leaving AND since it is already common knowledge that there is such an installation one or two additional transports every now and then bringing prisoners that are not meant for the primary Gulag would hardly be noticed.

Woodcrafting...for the Feds but probably not for the Klingons, they seem to dislike anything "soft" , and they sleep on metal shelfs.
Since wood is most likely still too soft for them how about some metal crafting for them instead?

Actually by canon Rura Penthe wen KA-BOOM. But ya I like the idea of bringing my resources in doing the research and then having some Tellerite slave build the finished product

# 23 Crafting is Needed
04-07-2010, 06:08 PM
Two weeks ago, I played both Fed Rat and Klingon equally, but I always loved collecting anomalies on the Fed Rat side, and then using them for crafting.

For my Klingon... NO Crafting. When I first saw exploration on Tribble, I thought that crafting would soon come, but I was wrong. This, and the lack of PvE are the big reasons that I am starting to play a lot more Fed Rat then PvP Klink.

WE NEED CRAFTING

BTW (text in black because might cause big hatred towards me.) I think that Cryptic is doing great with improving the Klingon faction, so I'm hoping that we will get Crafting by Season 2

Umm, which canon?
Did you see the same movies I did?
The only thing that went kaboom was Praxis and Kirk and Bones were sent to Rura Penthe AFTER that happened.

You are correct, my bad. "Simulate face plaming emote"
Anyway moving along, I see that Cryptic seems to have nerfed Klingons even gathering anomolies.
I haven't gotten anything but 0 anomolies scans for 2 days now. I guess thats our answer to "Where's the Crafting"? it's "Shut up or we will bend you over and nerf you some more"!
Thank you Cryptic may I have another?

My scanner never shows anything but "0 anomalies". But sometimes they float around in space in the T'Ong nebula. I have 5 red anomalies and 2 teal/green. I think all of them are from space fight missions (defend base). I never found anything in missions where I had to approach the planet or destroy the tribble domes. Once I found an anomaly on a planet, but was unable to scan it.

Ya, the anomly gathering has been nerfed, they never ment for use to have it. Because apparently Klingons are dumb monkeys that dont how to conduct a system scan. So now you cant even gather and sell them on the exchange. So now we can be poor dumb monkeys.

Okay, my guess on this would be as the number one complaint on the survey was the Memory alpha crafting system, I am guessing they are holding off on adding it to the Klingon side until they come up with the replacement. It only makes sense to wait to add something people will enjoy as opposed to the current system. Just role out the new system for both factions at the same time. Makes sense to me.

Ok, I could buy this line of thought, and if this indeed the case, WHY DON"T THEY SAY SO!!!??? And I would shut up on the whole matter and happly be patient. Until then I will pound my war drum and seriuosly consider hand delivering a letter to Danile Stahl on the matter.
