Hello, I just started this game and the only option I have is to be a Fed. I don't want to be a Fed so do I have to unlock the Klingon side or am I missing something or do I have a UI bug?

If i remember correctly u unlock Klingon after reaching Lt6 with a Starfleet character.

There is also a quest you can do, that will unlock it, before Level 6 as well. ( I forget which one, but most ppl hit it 6 pretty fast)

Just do the Fed PvE missions until you hit Lt 6, they're silly easy and give great XP so you'll level fast. It can be done literally in just a few hours of play.
Then be prepared for grinding a handful of PvE missions and/or PvP to level your Klingon.
Unfortuantly, PvP at low levels is almost non-existant these days.

Buy plenty of asprin and be sure your health insurance covers repetitive motion injuries.

The Federation PvE mission you need to complete is "Stop the Signal".

Also since you did lvls 1-6 your unlocked Klingon will be lvl 6 so you wont lose any time involved. You will need to take a very long shower to get that god awful Fed stinch off of you . Also place a condom over your cpu while your on that side.
