In terms of battles though, I'd much rather prefer a 14-15 loss than a 15-1 win any day. And after several matches where we tend to be winning heavily, it's good when you run up against a very skilled opposing team that knocks you down just as much. Heck, after losing to a group of players in one map, I look forwards to facing them in subsequent matches later in the evening.
I do those all the time, Alot of my fleetmates came from PvPing extensively with them. Sometimes they started out with just meeting them randomly, sometimes they come from the organized pvp channel.

Without my teammates, I would be nothing (and probably in DOB).

Quite right, I have the same thing often. I guess you could consider that a premade as well, but what I meant with premade are those that form up in advance, most likely consist of the same people whenever they take the field, and use teamspeak. And ofcourse even those sometimes consist of true pvp'ers that are just looking for a good fight, rather than an easy win.

On the other hand there seem to be alot of premades that consist of 3 Science Ships loaded with SNB and stacks of VM, with 2 Escorts to kill the defenseless opposition, or any variation of that which allows them to roll over most opposition. I've even seen a FvF premade that consisted of 5 science ships with stacked FBP

Yeah, I've been up against that premade. More then once in fact. It's why I always make sure to bring along cannons/turrets and a BO with rapid fire, just in case I'm against that team build.

I usually never allow more then 1 Sci captain on our premade team for obvious reasons.

I might consider allowing 2 once the big 3 receives a fix that is universally accepted by most fleets.

One of the hardest matches I've ever done was vs. a Klingon group with 4 BoP Sci Captains + 1 Battle Cruiser. It was hilarious.

There are certain things you can do as a team to counter Sci abilities but when they have 3 or 4 of them locking down almost everyone there's only so much you can do.

I actually enjoy when my 1 man pre-made (me) runs into other pre-mades. It at least provides a fun challenge instead of the one Capt. Terribad of the USS Short Bus provides in most pugs you run into.
