In the space part when we DPS down the gate after it first opens we often get it below 20%, the tac cube spawns as does everything else, but until we kill the tac cube whatever we kill re-spawns is this expected or is it that once the tac cube spawns nothing else is supposed to?
So then it's glitching. Either we gotta slow our DPS or this should be fixed.
we're getting down to 20% and it closes, early, otherwise we could obliterate it in it's first opening. It then re-opens shortly after but is un-targetable, and until we kill the tac cube everything we kill re-spawns.
odd...never seen that before. if you can get it down to 20%, then the Tac will spawn in with some other ships (and 2 other cube). Once you destroy them all, the shield will drop and that's it...destroy the gateway and your'e done.
it is a scripted event that you can not kill the gate without first killing the tac cube. the list of event goes like this.
1. the amount of mobs that spawns is based on the health of the gate, if you damage it a lot in the first opening, it'll keep on spawning mobs up to and including the probe wave, follow by the sphere wave and the cube wave.
2. the gate is scripted to close at near 25% and spawn the tact cube, this will happen even if the gate was at 26% when the shield drop and you only had time to lower its health by 1%.
3. only after you kill the tac cube willt eh shield drop again to let you finish the remaining 25%.
4. they changed it a few patch back because with proper dps it is possible to kill the gate in the first opening and thus end up wit no tac cube spawn
Well it makes sense that it closes, and the tac cube spawns, but what still doesn't make sense is that with the tac cube spawned it still spawns more NPCs, we usually go for one of the other cubes first to mop up some of the probes and spheres, but after we kill them they just re-spawn. I guess we need to kill the tac cube before we kill anything else.
