What annoys me about the VAT for the UK, for example, is that we arent getting anything physical, we aren't importing a service. We're paying for access to an American service and somehow that constitutes being open to VAT? Doesn't make much sence to me, and I wish someone would tell us why we have that problem only for Lifetime/1-year subs, and not the monthly subs. The VAT added to a Lifetime sub is more than enough to buy another copy of STO so its not exactly small beans.
Because of Europes unfair trade practices with the USA, the EU does its best to increase prices of all US products, as they also try to lawsuits to steal as much money from US companiese as possible..
The liberated Borg officer was a pre-order bonus only. If you hadn't ordered before the end of the open beta, you do not receive the liberated Borg officer. I'm guessing since you got a credit that you definitely didn't order your lifetime sub during the open beta because those orders don't get any sort of refund.
