# 1 Idea for in game polls
05-09-2010, 10:09 AM
Recently Cryptic has started doing "weekly" polls(not really ever week, but whatever) to determine what direction they should go in certain development decisions. While this is great, only a small minority of the overall playerbase is actually voting. STO supposedly has "well over 100k" subscribers, but only 11k voted on the new faction poll, so it seems that simply putting a link on the launcher to a forum poll isnt catching most folks attention.

So heres an idea for Cryptic: whenever you have a new poll, let people vote in game. You can make it work the same way as a mission where you have a contact that wants to talk to you in your communications window. It could be some "Starfleet Census" person or something, and you could click on the choice you wanted the same way you click on the normal dialogue options in a normal mission window.

Sounds reasonable, although they might only get the same number of responses. That 100k subscribers number is a little dated. Now offer some C-store credits again and then you'll get an accurate number.
