just read the changes they are going to make. man i think they over did it. dps down stacking down, apa down, surviving nothing changed. ive seen cruisers i could barely dent their shields. i think cruisers will be the pvp gods to come. just remeber this post in couple days/weeks, tac escorts are going to get hurt big time.
we asked for a tweak in dps not for you to bring out the nerf bat from el diablo himself

Someone (akumurev I think?) in the PremadePvP channel asked for folks to come to Tribble to help test, and I copied my RA5 over to test it out with them in some 5v5 FvF. After 2 matches, Bounty gave some good feedback on it: http://forums.startrekonline.com/sho...08#post2671208

You mean Extend Shields I assume, and yeah sort of. If you fire Extend Shields, it puts RSP on a common cooldown, however halfway through the Extend Shields cycle RSP is usable again. So for the last half of Extend Shields' cycle, I was able to pop RSP.

I knew this would happen.
Well I guess that pretty much puts escorts on the nerfed to death table.
I mean who cares if they can survive 1 minute longer when a cruiser does 3 times the damage of an escort that means something is seriously wrong.

Not really. It seemed most of the time I needed a heal or some other power to save myself or an ally, the power was on cooldown. Bounty described the PvP last night as "a bunch of guys staring at their power bars waiting for cooldowns to expire".

Focus fire on a cruiser is more effective now than on Live; the "tank" powers are also your heals or share cooldowns on your heals, so you won't have as much usable to survive. So you're strictly a shield/hull tanker with no heals and such.

If you like space battles that last really long times and noone dies then the new space will be for everyone.
TSS skills are way less useful in 1.2 ideas on tribble since the person most people will be attacking is the person that you TSS, well that person will be the first person to get an ET. SO the debuff is gone and power levels will return..
Not to mention.......the nerf to damage is soo bad that hull tanking (which is possible right now if you have skill) will become common place.
the fights boil down to long drawn out pewpew fests where everyones shields are down but they all have full hull with lots of resist on themselves so they dont die from HYT3 or even tricobalts (minimax we tested it LOL).
it will reward the teams with good communication since since overhealing can be deadly as well as tunnel vision DPSers that forget to help the team.

Ipigi will be postng vids later....plus our new one where we go FvK without shields.

Well the devs are going to chase away the people there trying to please if all these changes go live. They want the casual gamer to enjoy a quick round of STO.... how is that possible when one match is going to take an hour. With the current state of the live a good salvage match can take 30 min. What now 2 hours for the 100 to 0 games?

I love the pace right now... fast but not insane. It gets the heart going, I havn't played the current tribble version... but it sounds pretty boring. Too many changes all at once.
