# 1 MY DDO experience

I'm really enjoying DDO. Of course I started playing D&D on paper in the mid 70/s, so I am biased.
Also, I am easily amused and when I see something shiny I get distracted...

/oh shiny....

I beta'd that game. Thing I liked most about it... the mobs don't auto-track you. It's possible to hack and slash them down with running passes, and they'll never touch you.

I enjoyed the game when I played it last year. I got bored, though.

I played for about a year after launch. I had a fighter who was never really exceptional. I did manage to make a really neat Drow Elf sorcerer/cleric who could heal all day thanks to the mana sorcerer gives you. They killed it for me when they released a monk class who's fighting technique looked like a funky sort of disco.

Paper I always played a Chinese themed monk, and I just couldn't stand for what I got.

I tried that game, but didn't like it. Nothing in particular about about, more of just a general lack of fun.

I like paper DnD. I specialize in covertly and unexpectedly making overpowered characters. DM always expects a couple guys in my group to do something to horribly break their heroes, but since I do wierd stuff like roleplay and take a round about way with my stacking, nobody ever notices how broken my girls are until I do something like take the epic campaign's boss enemy down in under a round.
