Lighter note: Tractor beam + BFI + Ram = win, if you have the heals to back you up. I knocked a BoP down to 15% health in 1 swipe, but since no one was focus-firing, it survived (hello, I'm a cruiser, not an escort
Its sad that this has become the acceptible tactic in pvp (again), and yet escorts are over-powered.

I have no idea why people didn't want to be healed. A team member - escort - was hit by a plasma torpedo before killing the last enemy on that point (Capture/Hold). On the way to the next point, I put Hazard Emitters on it, assuming the escort had only sci team - which is relatively common at low levels with only one ensign station. Instead of silent agreement - which I can perfectly live with, or even a thanks, the player started ranting that no-one should heal at all.
Happened several times in similar situations, so I just quit healing anyone except me. In STFs, I usually get asked to join a team because I'm a healer, so I know my role and all is good. But in PvP - only the players who ask directly. I have 2 healers on Fed side, Cpt and RA5, and I'm always happy to assist with fleet actions or stuff. On Klingon side, I switched out most skills of my sci and went for DPS. I got enough complaints there, so its each for themself now.

WOW, that's ludicrous. Someone actually doesn't want to be healed... At that point I would follow them around and heal them just to be a pain.

Someone that does not want to be healed. That is the funniest I have heard. Sound to me they want to prove something or they think they are better then everyone else.

You can heal me any time if we play together.

See THIS is why I am reluctant to run my healing build in PvP, cos more often than not I find people complaining that we have 'too much support', implying that if we dont all run a max-DPS build we are hurting the team.

I pvp in a star cruiser, and the mark of whether I had a good match is if my damage and heal numbers are about the same.

The joke is, in some of these matches I still did more damage than the people refusing heals. At first I thought it would effect the points or so, like damage done - heals recieved = final points. But alas, I used my heals alone and still came in first of my team. I'm kinda done with healing in PvP since then, because even the 'reason' for freaking was ridicolous. If it would really do something about win or loss chances, or points, ok, but just to be l33t? I more use my tac in PvP now. No heals, no complaints.
