Can it happen?

there are no clients planned. ( it's hard to support more then one client, part of the reason why EVE dropped linux ) but you can use boot camp, or you can use wineskin. ( wine for linux )

Rosetta is for running PPC applications on an Intel machine, not related to this.

doh123's Wineskin application runs both STO and CO pretty smoothly. I've been using it for months. You do need one of the Macs with the Intel processor to use it. This, of course, is also true for Boot Camp, but for that you will also need a copy of Windows, which can be pricey. You also have to go through the modest trouble of setting up Boot Camp, partitioning your hard drive, and restarting your Mac whenever you want to play STO. None of that is at all difficult, but it can register on the hassle-o-meter.

Crossover Games will also run STO reasonably well. Like above, it needs an Intel mac since it uses Wine.
