Missing additional character slot for current/ lapsed Gold Members
Slow patching in the launcher
A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
Interesting concept...similar to a duty shift as someone sugested earlier or rotation considering where captain of a starship...
Maybe we can have specialised team...such as Engineering Section of the ship, Securtiy Section of the ship and Science Section (Ie Astromatric labs or something similar)...this where all you extra personal work until chosen for the Away Missions for their particular abilities liek the show.
Bridge Officers stay where they are until duty shift change when you enter instance or change Sectors (considering time still goes on). The captain can decide which personal assigned to which stay permanently or need a change up.
Yes tash did but she kept making appearances on the show...that is what I was getting at. So even though you drop a BO out of your ten key members you can tour your ship an run into one of the old members of the crew.
That would be nice I would love to have another function for my bridge officers that I could put the BO's i want to keep for sentimental reasons. l

Maybe if the "Nightshift" were more like shift supervisors. That is, you keep a spot open for a Tac, Eng, and Sci BOff with lvl 3 skills and you can train unlimited BOffs with those supervisors. That would certainly help filter out the old BOffs to make room for the new. I think one of my characters still uses the BOff I started the game with.
It'd probably be better if the supervisor slots were universal, though.
Edit: Actually, the supervisors should probably be different from the captain's career track, meaning that at any one time an engineer can have one or more Tac and Sci officers, but no engineers. That way, players can't spam lvl 3 abilities and are forced to choose what skills to max. Also, BOffs trained by supervisors shouldn't be placed on the exchange.

sry but...
this has NOTHING to do with my idea...
it is not about skills, not about additional BOs using / training skills,
the "Nightshift-BOs" are even meant unavailable for Bridge-Stations and Away-Team...
what YOU talk about is just about saving exchange-money by having personal skill-trainers...
which is one of those "proposals" turning the whole existing system...
PLEASE keep such stuff out of this post,
cant help ya if you cant handle a "cosmetic" idea...
post your "i´m whining coz i´m not overpowered enuff"-ideas somewhere else please...
I don't see the point...
It's a game... not real life. You're telling me you're going to play this game 24h a day just to see your staff switch?
Also having this done real-time so the staff are different depending on time - what's the point? Chances are you've only got certain hours of the day when you can play STO - also what about different time zones? IDK about in the ST world, but I'm p sure all of starfleet have the same time no matter where they are (taking into account time distortions etc etc but the physics involved is beside the point).
Blahhh...

tl;dr
can;t see the point
no... i´ve just called them "Nightshift-BOs" cause i need a name for it...
i thought it would fit very well cause the ones that appears to Nightshift in series
are more secondary characters, or other said not the main-BOs...
this idea is NOT about having a switching crew on the bridge,
it is about having additional non-player-BOs,
which should replace generic-Officers on the ship
and should be a way to have more customizable "characters" on the ship,
or a way to "save" BOs which you simply like and dont want to have to replace at all...
