Instead of carrying 10 BOs around and trying to figure out which to change in/out or respec when
you change ships with same Captain. Make the BOs have slots like weapons do and as long as
the BO is in that slot he stays on that ship, when you change. Changing ships can require
major BO skill redos, and this would help that without the hassel of carrying multiple BOs all the time.
agreed, this is the only reason im sticking to one ship again. took way to long to reslot the Bo's on my BoP back to what they were after trying out a Battle Cruzer
Crews should remember their place and ship, im shure people on an aircraft carrier dont go asking the captian where he wants them to work today, or even any other place with a crew, they know what they are suposed to do and where
From an RP/Immersion standpoint it would make sense to kepp BOs with ships, but from a gameplay standpoint there is no need. Honestly I don't have any issues with respeccing my BOs per ship.
At RA I've got my DSSV and my RSV. I've got 3 tact officer, 3 engineers, and 4 science officers. Each officer has different skills specifically for the ship I plan to have them on. All I have to do when I switch ships is switch the assignments and I'm set. Heck from an RP/Immersion standpoint if I really wanted to I could say it's because those are the different crews of those different ships.
It's really in how you plan out your BOs and skills. Changing from an DSSV to an Advanced Escort might be different for example but even then I would think some of the early skills might overlap a little and be fine. As you level I can understand some frustration going from a Tier 2 to Tier 3 for example, but that's just part of levelling in an MMO, learning new skills and new ways to do things as you advance and gain more power.
