Great interview from a great actor. Love Nimoy and the work he's done, he brought a lot to the genre. Humor being one of the biggest. His subtle eyebrow raises in the original, got me every time. hehehe. Him and bones going at it.

Live long and prosper.

I also enjoy Leonard Nimory.
There was only one time that I was taken back a little by Nimory. Back in the early eighties while I attended Kent State, I was smart enough to obtain a season pass to all lecture hall speakers. Nimoy was one of the speakers. This was after his book “I am not Spock”. "Poems" and "In search of show" along with other tib Bits was the central theme. I was a little taken back. He barely mentioned Star Trek. AND I mean barely.
I understood what Nimory meant by his book, but it was disappointing. However, I can say that I met the man (special pass). John Walters was more memorial but hey......he is cool as well.
I wished the book ”I am Spock” was released back then......but that wasn’t the case. All in All: The character Spock still is my top two most loved Star Trek characters.

(The Enterprise crew) are good people doing good work for good reasons. I think that's terribly important, a big part of what the whole franchise is about: the hopefulness of the future, and professional people working together, successfully solving problems.

Wow, nice interview. Leonard Nimoy and his portrayal of Mr. Spock was always one of my favorite Star Trek characters. In a word; iconic, comes to mind.

Interesting to hear that STIV was his favorite film. I did like that one, but I really enjoyed STVI. It just seemed so "grown up" and very well written. It had a few moments of humor as well. Humor is a part of life and Nimoy got that "dead on" that STO should include some humor. It's part of humanity. Now obviously it should be in balance but I believe that all of the series always kept that in perspective.

Thank you for those kind words Leonard as I generally tend to like Vulcans what an appropriate way to end the interview.

Fellow Trek Fans;
Like yourself I am looking forward to the release of this game and have high expectations. As many of you might agree; the bar has been set for Online Gaming by 'World of War Craft' and 'Guild Wars', both excellent games in their own right.
However, the creators of those games did not have to work within 'Canon' that Star Trek is encompased. This 'Canon' must surley be both a blessing and a curse to the Cryptic developers.
I was in Vegas this past July and was privilaged to be able to get to the StarTrek Experience at the Vegas Hilton before it closed. I will alway charish the experience, though it was like attending a funeral. I was not able to attend the convention. But, I saw the vidio clip of the Games Represenitive, introed by Mr. Nimoy. I feel this is a possitive reflection on Cryptic and the attention Cryptic will apply to the quality of this game.

Good interview, but some of those questions are ones that he has answered in hundreds of interviews prior. I agree with most of the posts about Humor and most of Star Trek has had a touch of it here and there. I think Humor will be important, but I think using Star Trek to represent the time we live in will also be equally important. I hope that Cryptic will tell us a story about the world we live in and give us something to consider as I try to go from a small shuttle to a huge ship as I help keep the Starfleet way of life.

Thank you for the Interview.
