I was able to buy it but its just sitting there in my inventory, I cannot equip it, is anyone else having such an issue?

do you have the room in you shipyard, you can only have 8 ships per character (1 for each rank)

Yes, I tried it on my other RA5 who only has like 5 ships

I agree with you . Its a shame that people who bought it didn't know how to make it a better cruiser.
I did a retrain of captain skills. Assault cruiser is what makes the ship have lots of improvements.
the turn rate gets better with increased power setting to engines and aux. all engine category's on skills tree should be maxed or close to it. attack vectors and battle strategy as well. I added 2 RCS Accelerators and my turn rate with all this is much closer to an escort and out turns any tier 5 cruiser. You can also add Aux to Dampeners as this will increase turn rates dramatically when in use. These all affect evasive maneuvers as well. I still get over 125 in weapons power as well as 80-90 in shields and 70 in engines and aux.

My issue with the GX is it is a tier 4ship and it is pitted against tier 5 ships in PvP

wrong it is a T5 Ship with some advantages from T4

Heh, some advantages from T4?? What? Crew being slightly higher if not flying a Star Cruiser?

It has many advantages over T4's asides from base stats, but I'm not convinced quite yet, that it's worth the purchase right now, asides from the fact that my main RA-5's had to be wiped due to pre-accolade problems of not getting accolades I should have had retro-actively, like I see people cruising Sol Station with Planet Killer-Killer title and the title you get for dealing with B'Vat and his twisted schemes with his younger self and a certain young human-klingon girl, even on Advanced it's too easy to do when using a Cruiser with the right gear...Naturally those accolades were not granted to my RA-5's because their scripts are crap and I had to re-roll them from scratch, and I expect Season 2 will suffer many of those flaws, especially BG-5 Klinks who will have more new content than Feds will from this update, if you ask me...Sure, getting retro-active diplomatic corps cookies from stuff your RA-5's have already done, you probably have to start those builds all over again, right now, my only build running is my data sample farmer to get about 4-5 groups of low and mid-level samples that people operating around DS9 at Captain won't get ever again unless they pay millions for single samples at times, much less several samples...Since people can no longer over-charge for consoles that can be won for free or ship gear or ground gear, they are now scalping everyone for data samples that you have to spend much time farming at low-mid-level stuff, and certain types of BOFF's with specific level-3 powers...I can't tell you what Aux to Struct-3 costs these days, and most people never offer them over Exchange, you have to deal with these exchanges directly with other players, which makes me a bit uneasy...The Exchange has rapidly become some pile of crap where E-bay dominates the game on 9,999,999 items and so on, they nerfed consoles and removed old exchange items for those prices to try and trump it, when that failed and people banked off ship/ground equipment, they nerfed some of that stuff too, so that different breeds of the same type of gun didn't have epic=fail on them...So that beams would be roughly equal with DC's and DHC's, then they really killed DHC's by making them 2 seconds and then stacking a damage nerf-bat on top of it...The Defiant, from what I've read on the official DS9 tech manuals and so on, all of which I own, suggests that it had four dual cannons with two tandem-fired quantum launchers, with a dorsal type-ten array/emitter and an aft class-6 torpedo launcher akin to what the Intrepid-Class used...

The Defiant's main leverage was a cloak, but it never cloaked during a fight from what I could tell from watching all the DS9 episodes which I also have...So battle cloaking may not be right for a retro-fitted Escort (T5 Defiant, of sorts?), there are now three confirmed new skills called Retro-Fitted Cruiser, Escort, and Science, those skills will obviously tie to the new Galaxy-Class which can separate saucer (BTW: This should not be c-store crud, this should have been included in STO to start with, there is way too much nerd-rage over saucer sep. as-is, and let's not start MVAM rage, damnit, if you give us a playable Galaxy with saucer sep, you'd BETTER be working to give us a Prommy with MVAM at some point to fit under the 'retrofitted escort' skill trees...), the Intrepid-Class which seems to have the BATMAN plothole armor, also uncommonly called Ablative Armor Matrix where it turns into a shiny batmobile and all...Bah...The PLOTHOLE torpedoes called Transphasic Torpedoes were so high-yield that they could only have been tricobalt warheads in a torpedo casing, that casing had a phase-cloaking unit attached to the front of the weapon and that is what allowed it to vanish once it 'hit' shielding or hulls, then had a gigantic detonation of a Borg Cube, a ship so large that no one could miss it even from at least 50 LY away, heh...Anyway, the Transphasic Torps only get 20% shield punch and are the least damaging torps? They should be 100% Shield and at least -75% damage resistance to more closely match their behavior from the only episode to feature them, they are called plotholes for a reason, just like batman armor is...But, since STO is "not canon" and "never will be", then keep your stupid, zero-damage trans-plothole-torpedoes already while everyone uses tricobalt torps instead to do 100+K burst damage with tetryon dual cannons and FAW rapid beams then it wipes shields out, then we use tachyon beam 2 or 3, and nail a HYT-2 plasma into them, slows 'em down as well as a chroniton torp does, and then turn about, continuing to barrage them with rapid-tetryon beams and so on, then we dump a MK-X tricobalt down their throat, instant 100+K spike from the aft end alone, around 75K from the frontal assault, if shield damage is included with the total hull spike which almost does not need a tricobalt to deal with, but sometimes a 100+K spike is too much fun to resist...

Everyone uses plasma torps and then tricobalt torps and re-specs so we can use tetryon guns to punch out the enemy's defense against these monster torps, then we slam them down an enemy's throat at point-blank, doing huge damage with dot, by the time a person lands their aft tricobalt-x launcher, they dump the aft plasma for it and slot up another purple tetryon array to keep those shields down, and throw a point-blank tricobalt for a rather nasty spike with the right skills set, sometimes quantums aren't the best torp, they are great for spamming damage without taking risks, but they can't spike as well as heavy plasmas or tricobalts can, period...Escort pilots should use those methods rather than relying on firing off a load of quantums instead because most escorts are more than fast enough to stick to a big ship's aft end all the time if they want, stick a HYT-3 Plasma to them or something, and they are helpless while you recharge and regen hull, they keep getting DOT's and slowed because no AI ship in this game heals, stupid brick-dumb AI...Bah...Anyway, this technique is the only way to handle a Star Cruiser against B'Tran runs solo Elite or tackling STF's if you want just one purple per hit, everyone does B'Tran because you get 5+ purples per run if you know how to handle it, I actually love it when a Cube tries to tractor/shield-suck me because my armor makes it nearly impossible to really hit me hard enough, if they manage to drag me down, I have many options open to me, I can either stick it out with hazard emitters to clean plasma DOT, I can hit my aux to damps or evasive-3 to over-thrust their ability to hang on, and I can also use polarize hull if I want super-resists that go over 100%, but it seems that polarize hull isn't cutting tractor beams from borg the way it used to before 1.2 rolled...Very odd...There are notes about that specific issue being fixed in Season 2, whoopie, now if they'd just roll Season 2 before the bloody 27th-30th I'd be happy, but knowing their current schedule (which is still WAYYY outdated on the upcoming events calendar you website junkies!), I think it'll be after the end of the month before all the cleanup on Tribble is satisfactory enough for Dan to risk a Holodeck release, Dan is not the type who takes early-release chances when it's not required, and though several of these minor changes like letting polarize hull snap off those borg tractors again could be micro-fixed with a simple half-meg patch or something like that, they won't do it because they want everyone so fixated upon Season 2 that they ignore the current problems which will STILL EXIST when S2 goes live, exploration ground being a prominent bug that shall never vanish until they get map designers worth a crap in there to re-wire the Genesis generation scripting from scratch like it should have been when it failed epically in open beta, I offered my help for free in that area because I have extensive experience in map design and scripting, but nooo...Too paranoid letting players help them, server security risks and too worried about people with my expertise stealing their game design secrets and what-not, none of it is worth my time to steal any of it, so ha ha...Right now you have several thousand subs that dropped off the map with 1.2, are you people so self-indulgent that you'd risk the same event or worse with Season 2 by not allowing players with game design expertise assist you in getting what we paid for? Most of us wouldn't even ask payment for it, some might be idiots enough to at least get a free lifetime sub with all the pre-order perks, but that kind-of ruins the free assistance offer to begin with...Besides, I'm sure we'll see Borg Captains in c-store before too long, and you get Captain's Table if you just show some bloody patience and help STO rather than hurt it because you're a bloody troll who has no idea WTF you're doing...Veterans Reward #5 if I recall properly? Along with a Captain's Yacht that should fly with your Type-8 Taco-wagon shuttle?

Thanks guys! Not many people seem to, but i appreciate the work you're doing for the game. Just remember that lots of people voice their negative opinions, but very rarely voice the positive ones.
I bought the game with complete faith in Crypic that you would take the slightly dodgy beta and make it into a great game, and you're well on your way to doing that. Keep up the good work
