# 1 Taxi'ing Player Crew
08-10-2010, 10:36 PM
Hi falks,

just a quick question. Is it possible to have friends aboard your ship on the fly? (this would be usefull for simulating player crews.)

And another quick one. Do the new interiors have any functionality?

The ship interiors only have trophy tech. There's no functionality aside from that - yet.

If you're a roleplayer...sure, you can invite friends into your ship interior. Folks can hang out and pretend to be a single crew.

I do this.

But all you can do is roleplay and hang out. There's no additional functionality for having friends inside your interior.

And you can't act as a taxi for other players either, because when they leave your interior, they will return to the game world where they were located when you invited them, not where your ship avatar is currently located.

The devs are working on minigames for ship interiors, but these aren't in yet.

It would be cool to have a function whilst loitering on your bridge to give an order to warp somewhere and see a vague approximation of your ship travelling to the location and recieving an acknowledment from your helm when you arrive.

Considering all it would involve would be some easy to do "warp" graphics on the main viewer.
