Sorry for the wall of text but I am so excited about this match...

I'm not saying Klings are OP, far from it, I play both sides and think they are well matched. I was on my engie/escort today in an arena match and got hit with a brutal combo several times. It was a total fur ball out there so I really can't remember what all the Klings fielded, I saw a Vor cha, a carrier, and a BoP there were more but those are the ships that stand out in my memory.

It was a good start, I was trying to get a player on our side on the team so I was distracted and alone when the Vor cha dropped out of cloak on my port stern. He got first shot of course and chewed through my port shields on the double quick. I managed to rally back and even started to beat him when he turned tail and ran. I tried to keep up but got nailed down by his team members. That's when the mayhem started.

What happened to me was so near artful that I am more awed than upset. Several times in the course of the match my ship was completely shut down. I mean nothing was available for use. My entire powers tray was grayed out, I could not even pop science team. Even the engines seemed dead and I have the green aux engines that provide 25% movement when the engines are offline. Twice I had to sit and watch myself die, while I tried to absorb what I did wrong.

I did make the mistake of heading into arena play set up for cap and hold but that is a tough nut to crack kinda of build so I thought I would be OK. I was wrong and Klings taught me how wrong I was. Still I would like to know what they did to strip all my defenses like that and to know what I can do in the future to avoid that same problem.

By the way I tip my hat to that team. They were real good at what they did. I wish I could remember their names. They did not feel like a PUG, I do real well against most PUGs. I was on the winning team in every cap an hold I was in earlier yesterday. I ranked in the top three for DPS in all but one match and I was late to that, (filled in for a short team that was one death away from the end of play). Even had real good healing numbers as well, scored second for healing in the match in question as I recall.

No matter if I ever figure out what I was hit with or how to counter it. That match will always rank among my favorite PvP matches. I really had to work for what I got and I think I got their attention. Seemed like they made a point to focus fire me whenever I sallied back into the fray after a respawn. If that was the case I am flattered. Freaking brilliant game!

Vor'cha and Carrier.. Unless he is mistaken about shiptypes, or someone purposefully flew a "outdated" chassis, something is amiss.

Your right my mistake, Negh'var. To be honest my highest ranked Kling is only a Commander 7. So I am not that familiar with all the 5th tier Kling ships. Also I do not use any macros so I have to look at my power tray allot. They kept me hard pressed to keep my ship from popping so I spent about as much time looking at my powers tray as I did at the battle space. LOL

I believe the ship's name was I.K.S. Blackbird, but I doubt that will help I.D. the ship type. I remember thinking about the SR71/A12 when I squared off with that cruiser.

a team will make a point to focus on the dps class of the enemy i got in a team last night for a few pvp on teamspeak & the first target is the escorts , then sci then cruisers.
glad you had fun though.

Aware of that. I try to use the same priority list, but I target fixate too much sometimes and forget to switch off a sci or cruiser when an escort comes back after re-spawn.

I figured that once the Klings figured out I was harder to pop than the average escort they would be more willing to switch off me. Problem with that line of thought is once my defensive BO skills are all on cool down I pop just as fast as a full offensive tac/escort.

Still lovin the PvP. Despite the fact that Klings are still owning Bird and the U.S.S Warsent in PvP I do not feel they are OPed. I can't shake the fact that Feds do not team and co-ordinate well. I need to find a group that will help me develop me team skills better. I feel I lack in that regard as well, especially in the fast pace of tier five PvP
