That makes a whole lot of dumbass assumptions. Nor does it cover the topic of value. Most people could probably afford the thing, it doesn't mean they think its a good value. Bascially, the last 3 or 4 C-Store updates have left very sour tastes in the Forum Posters' mouths. I didn't see anybody complaining about 3 dollar ship skins. Yet Cryptic doesn't seem to notice this.

Also, the T3 is free and available for in-game currency, if you like the Excelsior and want to fly it, you know? It's still the Excelsior!
Good luck flying your favorite ship when you're an Admiral.

Fact is, Cryptic screwed up the way they handle ships from day 1. You that one, popular MMO, WoW? If you get an armor piece that you think is really cool looking at low level, chances are there are armor pieces that look just like it at higher level. But in STO, there isn't a high level Constitution or Akira or Hope.

Now Cryptic releases a ship that was advertised to be a C-Store purchase item from the start and they remembered what everyone said when the Gal-X came out. So they put it in the C-store for $15 because that is what everyone said was reasonable. Price isn't an issue with me. Hell, the C-Store itself isn't even an issue. It's how Cryptic's been handling it that bothers me. First off, it's the sheer amount of crap that's getting sold. Secondly, it's that this is the ONLY refit that you cannot get by ANY other means than by shelling out 1200CP, at least from what I've been hearing (I could be wrong since I don't have a first-hand account). Make it available in-game by the same means that the other refits are and I'm sure there will be a lot less b1tch1ng about it.

Those ships were posted in a player poll for what iconic ship to make next....

The whole "C-Store" part of it came later.

Pretty hard to justify paying for C-store exclusive when there isn't even enough options in the game. Current re-fit ships? Re-skins. Tough work there =\

$18.75. Not $15. There's no way to buy "just" 1200 cryptic points. The closest one can get and have enough for the ship is 1,500 cryptic points.

That's the beauty of Cryptic points.

Gal-x was referral, I did buy that, but excelsior... It's just to much. The thing is they could make money if they lowered price because i would buy it, but because it is $15 (or $18.25) so they lose my purchase.

Also find it funny how they're having a sale this weekend but the ships aren't part of it.
