So I came back to STO when season two launched and immediately was sucked in. Not only was I loveing the PVE content but I found I actually enjoyed space PVP in STO. Which was a big surprise. Though so far all I usually manage to do is make a nice juicy target for the klinks.

Klink... not sure who started that abbreviation but I think i'm going ot have to name two of my klingon BOs Klink & Shultz LOL maybe a Hogan to just for giggles.

Anyway I always liked klingons but figured I wouldn't get into them as I've never before been much of a PvPer. I rolled a klingon an orion and a gorn and deleted them all pretty fast. I'd never flown an escort before and the BoP was a very different experience.

So after working on my new SF engineer for a while to start learning PVP more I decided to seriously give Klingons another go.

So I got down to business I settled on a liberated borg klingon tactical officer and started customizing his appearance. As we know the customization options are very nice with a myriad different options and some very cool borg bits. As has been said before the hair selections though were disapointing. The selection of klingon ridges and beards was nice though. (More would always be cool)

So I got going running the starter missions to get a crewand so forth. The Qo'nos zone is very cool but also a little disapointing I really wanted at least a glimps of the lklingon captital city. But hopefully like San Francisco for the feds it will come with time.

So I beam up to my bird of prey and i have to say WOW I love it! It's so cool to start in such an iconic ship and in is incredibly fun to fly. Very different from me constantly whining about flying the miranda or even connie through tier 1. I also noticed that there is an alternate version of it giving you some cool custimization otpions! I stuck with the classic though.

So I headed off to a warzone while waiting for a pvp que to fill and cut my teeth on some probes and squeres and really started getting a feel forthe ship and learning how to fly it!

I went off to one of the nebulas and that's where I really started having fun. The experience of decloaking and unleashing my diruptors on some unsuspecting ship is like nothing I have experienced on the fed side of things I don't know what it is it's just fun! Flying a bird of prey is like a WWII U-boat crewed by Pirates!

I'm only Lt7 so far so I can't do the Cold call on Grel'zuk yet but I can't wiat to see what the klingon side of that is like!

I missed out on 2 PvP opportunities while I was afk and finally got into a space arena match but something weird happened it was very empty I coudln't find any feds at all. I was flying all over looking for anybody but the map was virtually empty. Apparently there was a fight going on as the screen soon came up showing we'd won.

Much as I love my feddies they might get neglected for a while I'm defiantely feeling the Klingon Mojo! Hopefully I cna get into some good pvp this week end level up and have some good fun! (and learn a lot more)

Glad to see someone actually enjoying the faction. The only thing I would suggest right now is to make sure you get plenty of brakes and play your Fed characters every so often, as the current level grind for KDF can get very frustrating due to lack episodic content (thats not to say there aren't things you can do, but 90% of the level grind now is PVP match/expanse mission/nebula missions - rinse repeat).

I'll say this - we don't have much (wrt customization, settings, PvE storylines, etc.), but what we do have is done well. With the possible exception of exploration missions... BTW, while you can't tour the First City, you can enter the courtyard outside the Great Hall. If you haven't found it, follow one of those side-hallways from the room where you beam in, keep moving in the opposite direction from the shipyard, and you'll come to a useable door. This'll bring you outside - where you can see the Great Hall in all its ominous, pyramidal glory

Sorry you got hit by that PvP bug. I've heard that sometimes people will be put in an isolated instance due to some conflict in filling out the teams. It's also possible that you joined a game already in progress, and you just didn't find the battlezone in time. Keep trying - it's worth getting at least one match in with your Tier 1 BoP...

Yes, the novelty of having a klink wears off rather quickly for some...so I hope you are able to stick with it to level your character.
