We will be bringing down Star Trek Online on Tuesday, September 7th from 3AM PST to 5AM PST (10AM to 12PM UTC) in order to perform maintenance. We will update this thread once this maintenance has been completed.

It didn't. Or at least if it did, one could keep playing. I saw the notice and told myself I'd go to bed when the game ended closed... Next thing I know it's 5:30a in the morning...
Well, either it didn't happen, or they did an in-server maintanence. They've done that before, where people who are already logged in can stay logged in, but no new ones can login while they perform basic maintanence.
